Sissy

I am so glad that yesterday my sister paid us a visit.. She said that she didn't miss me at all but she missed the kiddo.. Okay..

We went to a salon to pamper ourselves.. We had hair treatment..(hair spa, massage, foot spa, manicure and pedicure!) Wheeee! I just feel so relaxed!

Reminiscing our childhood days.. we've been through a lot of arguments, fights.. I thought that our parents love her more.. and guess what??! that's what she thought too.. But as we grow up, we learn to appreciate each other.. We became bestfriends.. We share each other's happiness and we are there for each other during the low points of our lives..

We are so opposite.. Physically, she has white skin and i am tan.. Our features are not very close.. Simply put, we don't have anything in common physically... People who don't that we are sisters won't even recognize that we really are sisters.. and a lot of times, we met friends and officemates in the mall, resto.. and they would ask.. Who's with you? and we would say, "She's my sissy.. " and people would just say.. "Really?! You don't look like her".. Errr! But lemme tell you, we are both pretty! hahahahha

I am loud and straight forward, Sissy is reserve.
I am impatient, Sissy is so patient.
I am very proactive and demanding most of the time, Sissy is shy.
I tend to be impulsive, Sissy is decisive..
I am sometimes careless and clumsy, Sissy is keen and careful..
I am very opinionated, Sissy prefers to listen.

In terms of attitude..

Probably, we have tons of differences and list would just go on and on and on... But I'd rather count the common things that we have..

Whew!

I've been very busy last week.. see, I just logged my entry for Weekend refelction this late.. Argh!

Anyways, here are the the things I've done last week..

1. Big Daddy was able to do his stress test, ecg lab exams at the hospital. so far results are good.. He has to go on a diet and loose weight..

2. Lil kiddo's vaccination for chix pox moved this week.. I feel guilty, mom didnt get time to have this done..

3. Had tons of work done in the office.. argh! was in the office for just two days.. errrr!

4. I was with sistah finishing our clearance papers for our parents house.. whohoo!!!

5. Went to church with my family..

6. Had our clan get together.. as usual.. we had so much fun!

7. Spent more time with the kiddo! I just love bein' with him.. Playing, running.. singing.. dancing..

8. Nobody got sick in the family.. Thank you Lord! a

9. I received Leira's package for the swap! Thanks a lot Leira! I just loved 'em..

This week was really full of blessings! The Lord remains faithful and true to me and t my family..

For this week.. Here are some stuff i gotta do..

1. Pay some bills..

2. Vaccination schedule of the kiddo..

3. Hopefully we can have all the papers ready for our parents' house so they can move in this March! Wheeeee! I am so excited!

4. Leadership Training in the office..

5. Meet deadlines at the office.. I sure can make it!!

13 Things I would like to accomplish by 1st half of the year..

1. Save some bucks!

2. Pay off some debts..

3. Move to our new house.. (construction would start this summer..)No more rental fees for the apartment! Whoohoo!

4. Get myself a brand new car.. Beep! Beep!

5. Get promoted.. Why not?!

6. Buy my parents some house appliances.. They'll soon be movin' to the house my sister and I bought for them! That's our gift to our parents for bringin' us up to be good and responsible adults.. Am just so proud of myself and my sister! We are just good children.. Watcha think??

7. Get some time to relax with hubby.. Out of town will surely do..

8. Treat myself for bein' hardworking.. Hmmm.. what about buying a new techno watch??

9. Spending more time with my kiddo.. He is growing up fast.. He is now 1 year and 4 months old! whew!

10. Planning more family gatherings.. Granny wants to see us more often!

11. Be more active in our church activities..

12. Be more prayerful...

13. Improve my time management...

These are couple of things I would like to accomplish for the first half of the year.. I know there's a lot more to do.. But what's important, is I do have a goal.. I plan.. and I am relying on God's approval for all of my plans..

Great Weekend

This week has been a great week.. Though there were struggles along the way.. But was still able to get through..

> Additional member of our family just arrived.. Jacob Calil.. (son of my bro in law..)

Thank you Lord for keepin' him and his mother safe.. Though she hastto undergo a CS Section..

> Finish some work in the office..

> Got approved loans from 2 banks.. (am still thinkin' if am gonna get it.. ) paying credit is very unpleasant.. Right?!

> Kiddo is well.. He's playing new tricks.. (mom pretends to be crying.. for sure am gonna get some kisses!!! mwah! mwah!) Whew! the kiddo loves the mommy.. so so sweet!

> Big Daddy and I didn't go out last 14th but went out saturday!

> Got some really really nice tops! whew!

> Bought Big Daddy a really nice jacket...

> Sunday would be family day.. We are goin' to my mom and dad's place..

> It's my sistah's birthday tomorrow! We'll sure have fun today and tomorrow! (not to mention that it's also her boyfriend's birthday today..)

> Found a new friend.. Leira.. I am so blessed to know her...

" Please to meet you Leira! Hope we can chat more some time.."

> Argh! Big Daddy was brought to the hospital to have his blood pressure checked.. But his now well.. But we still have to see his doctor for follow-up..

Truly, God is always faithful.. He keeps us safe all the time.. He loves us unconditionally.. and He always showers us with super big blessings!

God's Discipline

Among other responsibilities of parents to their children, the first and most important is teaching and helping 'em grow in the word and discipline of God..

Unless our children grow in God's teaching and discipline, they will never fear doing the wrong things.. They will not learn to value relationship.. They will not learn to share.. They will not value life.. Fear of God will bring 'em to a good future.. a future that is away from vices, illegal drugs and immorality.

Monthly Swap

simple pleasures organized a monthly swap this February.. She thought of "Accessories" as her theme for this month.. Hmmm.. I must admit, am so addicted to accessories.. watch, earrings, belts, hair bows, anything that would add glamour, elegance and beauty to women! I just love 'em!!!

So there, after visiting her blog (a worth reading blog!) and knowin' that she's initiating a swap, I joined! It took me some time to look for stuff to send my swap mate.. Now, I finally have it and will be on its way to Australia this morning.. Before I drop it to the post office, i'll take a picture of it and post it.. (probably later..) I just hope my swap mate will like it, because its really a personal pick!!!

I just wanna share how excited I am to share stuff I have to people who would also appreciate it! wheeeee!!!

Of course, this is also one great way to make bloggers across the globe closer.. watcha think?

13 Ways to show you love him..

1. Kiss him while he is sleepin'...

2. Make a blog entry just for him - i just did!!!

3. Serve him breakfast..

4. Leave him a note somewhere in your room, pc, fridge telling him how much you love him..

5. Put on your perfume that he loves the scent! - for sure he'll end up kissin' and hugging you!

6. Cook his favorite meal.. - in my case i would need food delivery service! Help me! need some recipes!

7. Drive him to his office..

8. Whisper " I Love You..." before he sleeps..

9. Include him on your prayers all the time - that he'll be safe and healthy..

10. Make sure his stuff are neatly and properly arranged..

11. Play badminton with him - or do brisk walkin' together

12. Prepare a LiL but nice present that would surprise him.. Or buy him somethin' that he really really wants to have - I just bought him PSP!

13. Take some time to go out for a dinner.. just the two of you.. - we'll have it this weekend! yipee!! got no time last february 14... we were both at work! argh!

My Valentine..

I call him my Own..
He is the man behind my every success..
He keeps me moving..
He is my shopping buddy..
I tend to be unreasonable at times and talk nonsense, yet he still listens..
He prepares great meal! He knows the kitchen more than I do!
He appreciates my entire being..
I can be myself... I need not to pretend to be somebody am not because he accepted me and love me as who I am and not who other people wanted me to be..
He makes me feel beautiful everyday, despite of bad hair days!
He understands and knows what's on my mind without me telling him.. hmmm...
He makes me smile after a long and very tiring day.
When I need a good laugh, he just have to fart! hahahhaha!
He turns my bad days to good ones by simply, rubbing my back and kissing my foreheard..
I need not to say what I want because he already knows it..
He turns ordinary days to special days because of LiL surprises he brings..
He makes me see the other side of things.. and leads me to a great realization..

Great Weekend

What a great weekend it has been!

The Lord is really good.. Here are some stuff we had last weekend..

1. LiL kiddo attended cousin Samantha's 6th birthday.. The clowns were very funny! Kiddo enjoyed the party.. He played, danced with other kiddos.. and he loved the spaghetti!!!

2. Big Daddy is now well and so is my mom..

3. Payroll was credited Saturday! Great! I can now pay some bills!

4. I spent the weekend nights sleeping beside my boys.. (Kiddo and Big Daddy..)

5. We went to church as a family..

6. As usual we our clan had lunch, snacks and dinner together!

7. Big Daddy and I got enough sleep and rest.. Good for us!

We are ready again for the graveyad shift! waaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

8. Our PC was just reformatted.. (got virus! darn!) and DSL is faster now!

.... There are so many reasons to be thankful, indeed God is always faithful!

It's Monday.. We are off again for another workin' week..

Love Thy Children

"Do you always love me mommy?"

Not all children can and would ask this question.. But for sure all children want to have assurance that their parents would love them not only when they do good but also during those times they commit mistakes..

If our love is just manifested and based on our children's achievements, our children won't be true to themselves and to us.. This can have an effect on his personality, character and self-esteem..

As parents, we have to show our children that we love 'em not only when they achieve somethin', when they receive honor/recognition in school and when they get high grades.. When our children commit mistakes, fail, need improvement, get high with drugs, get pregnant at a very young age.. this is the perfect time to make 'em feel we love 'em..

This is loving our children unconditionally..

God, our father loves us unconditionally.. Pass it on to our children.. ------

I've decided to regularly post an entry about parenting.. I am tagging this as Parents 101.. Hope my entries would help us moms, dads to be great parents..

Bein' a mom and/or a dad is indeed the most challenging and rewarding career in this whole wide world! Agree??!

Love Month

Almost everyone living in this world categorized February as Love Month.. On this month we celebrate valentine's day.. Wheee! The 14th of February is dedicated to our partners.. (hubby, wiffy, sweeheart, honey..)
It is the time of the year when....
> flowers, chocolates, sweets, pillows, teddy bears, balloons become so so expensive but highly marketable!
> cinemas - no more seats!
> hotels - fully booked!
> fine dining resto - needs super early reservation
> love concerts - tickets... SOLD OUT!
> malls.. you'll see a lot of lovers holding hands and super sweet!
> phone and mobile phone lines - damn busy.. a lot of people sending text messages... valentine greetings! and peeps making phonecalls whispering.. "I LOVE YOU and Happy Valentine's Day!"

Love is more than that.. More than a valentine's day.. Love is making you see and feel that life is beautiful!

I hope all of us will share the 14th of February with our one true love...

Great Weekend!

It's crazy monday again!Gotta work.. work.. work.. My weekend was really good... Here are some stuff I had..

1. LiL kiddo attended Isha's 1st Birthday Party. He had a lot of fun! He danced and played with other kiddos...
(will post some pixs on my next entry..)
2. Big Daddy and Mommy bought LiL Kiddo a new pair of sneakers!LiL kiddo liked it very much.. when we arrived home and told LiL kiddo that we have somethin' for him, he grabbed the shopping bag and checked what was inside.. when he saw it, oh wow! he removed his shoes and asked Big Daddy to put on his new NIKE sneakers!
3. Sunday, we went to church.. We don't let a Sunday pass without goin' to church as a family..
4. As usual, our clan had a luncheon gathering after our church worship service. -
every sunday, our clan gathers for lunch. This is when each family brings food to share with everybody. This is our bonding time!
5. Big time Uncle Bong invited everyone to go to Mall of Asia around 4pm yesterday. We had a lot of fun.. We went there as a SuperSize groupTotal no: 24 peeps!!! hahahha! We had dinner @Guilly's resto.. The food was good! The ambiance was cool..
6. LiL kiddo and mommy tried the little rides in the mall! LiL kiddo didn't want to get off the carousel!He just loved it!
7. Monday Morning, it was playtime with LiL kiddo..
8. Big Daddy doesn' feel well.. (he has fever) have to see his doctor tom!
9. My mom is also sick..
I pray that Big Daddy and my mom will get well pretty soon..
10. Got to buy Lea Salonga's new CD (Inspired)! yipee! I just love her!

Super MOMS!

Last December 11, 2006 My LiL' Kiddo's nanny left the house to get married.. It really surprised me.. She never told us her plans and we were caught offguard..

So there.. got no nanny for over a month now and still in search for a great person to take care of our LiL Kiddo while mom is away.. Hope she'll enter our door very very soon and stay long..

Though, we got no nanny.. I am so blessed to have a Mom and MIL who are very supportive and loving..

Let us talk about my mom.. She travels from heavy Mondays - Lazy Fridays even before the sun is up (around 5am) from her house to our house.. and goes home at 4pm and sometimes 6pm.. Imagine that?! She never complains.. She even says "You are even doin' me a favor.." I get to see my beloved grandson everyday.." My mom, does all the work for me.. She takes care of LiL kiddo.. She feeds him.. She cleans our room.. She cooks.. She even does the laundry.. She just does everything! I really can't thank her enough.. (now tears are fallin' from my eyes.. ) I am just so lucky and blessed to have a mom like her! How can she love us this much?? How can she not get tired?? How will I survive without her???

Now, my MIL.. I am one of the fortunate ladies who have a great MIL.. I know some folks there do have a LiL somethin' against their MIL or vice versa.. Great thing, I am blessed with a great MIL.. She works as a school teacher.. and after work, once my mom goes home, she takes the next shift taking care of the LiL kiddo.. Like my mom, she never complains, and we feel that she loves the Kiddo very much!

I want my LiL' kiddo to be safe all the time.. We make sure that medicines and hazardous stuff are way out of his reach.. small parts of his toys that he can easily swallow... batteries.. pointed objects.. We keep all those away..

While his Biggie cousin (Jason) was writing, LiL' Kiddo asked me to get him a pencil.. My intial reaction.. No way! "You might get hurt.." But the LiL' Kiddo still insisted on holding a pen and grabbing his Biggie Cousin's paper..

Alright.. Alright.. So, I gave LiL Kiddo the pencil.. Guess what?? He even positioned it as if he knows how to write! I was so amazed! My LiL kiddo @ 1 can hold a pencil! Imagine that..!

Okay... Okay..
So I tried to trick him.. I gave LiL' Kiddo a pencil that was unsharpened.. Guess what??? He was looking for the pointed edge and when he noticed that there was none.. He threw it! hahahhahahha! and asked mommy to give him another one..

Alright... So, I gave him another pencil.. This time sharpened.. When he got it, he positioned the pencil as if he would write.. havin' the pointed edge on the paper!!!

Smart Ass!!!

One time we went to Burgoo_gatewal mall (a cool resto..) They are using paper as table cloth.. (probably to make their resto unique and to save some bucks buying table cloth) hahahahah.. The waiter gave us some crayons to doodle while we are waiting for our food.. LiL' Kiddo grabbed the crayon first and doodled on the paper! wahhahaha!!!

I hope that LiL Kiddo would be like his Big Daddy who is very good in drawing!!! Hmmmm.. I might have a Michael Angelo in the making!

I am NOT..

After getting paranoid.. I already know that I am not really pregnant.. I have my period just today.. so this ended all my questions..

LiL' Kiddo is not yet a big bro..I think this just gives me more opportunity to spend more quality time with my LiL' Kiddo.. He is growing up fast and we don't know, he would probably have a LiL' sister/bro soon.. So, while he is still the only angel in the house, I would like to savor that moment..

Big Daddy and zhashaproudmomma should talk about family planning.. When do we want to have our 2nd child? Can we manage our finances once that great experience kicks in? Can we manage our time both for work and family?? How should we raise 'em??

Bein' PARENTS... TOUGH!!!

I would also need to consult our OB-GYNE for safe contraceptive options and pap-smear..

We all need to be healthy!

I maybe.. I maybe not..

For the past few days, I've been dealing with this intuition.. Or am just bein' paranaoid.. Argh!!! Whatever it is....

AM just feeling pregnant...

Oh yes, I am.. I don't know why this idea just blew out of my mind.. Had my last period January 2nd.. And come on.. I have not missed a period then?? Right?? and its way too early to do a pregnancy test.. I would possibly get an inaccurate result if done before January 30..

Lately, I feel that I am so moody, am having headaches, feeling dizzy, i want to vomit (eeewwww!!!), i hate some smell, I can't eat and i feel bloated! These were the exact same symptoms of my first pregnancy..

Alright, so since I am so paranoid thinking that I might be carrying my 2nd child, I even visited websites to research about pregnancy.. and even took an online quiz to know if icould possibly be pregnant..

Nothin' has changed..

Bein' married for almost two years is just awesome! I couldn't really ask for more.. Big Daddy is just my all!

I think it is great to reminisce the first day when I felt in love with my Big Daddy.. Oh wow! I just can't explain the feelings.. Yiheeee!!!

We smiled and that's how it all started.. He was just one ordinary guy.. But wait.. Suddenly, my heart was beating oh so-so fast...no.. no.. no.. He wasn't an ordinary guy. He was a very special guy even the first time we met.. I was strucked by somethin.. I didn't know what that was.. Okay.. Okay.. LOVE Struck me.. When we met.. I didn't know I was lookin' for love.. but good thing I got him!!!

Seven years of bein' steady.. (huh!) was no joke.. We've been through a lot.. Happy moments... Rough roads.. name it!
When we got married we promised to live together forever.. Build a family.. Share everything!

Days, months passed... Imperfections makes our marriage perfect! We laugh together, we've cry together.. We argue.. We get mad.. We have mishaps.. We have shortcomings..

BUT.. I just thought, isn't it nice to remember and feel exactly the same feeling I felt when I first fell in love with the MAN of Life.. The MAN of my Dreams.. My husband...

Oh wow! I still feel the same.. I love him exactly the same way I first fell in love with him... Nothin' has changed.. Hmmmmm... I just love him so dearly !!! Oh my Big Daddy!!!
